You can make your own appointment for confidential services and come in to see a doctor or other medical or mental health professional at Kaiser Permanente medical offices. In most cases, you'll need a parent's permission to get medical care.
Private residential treatment programs for young people offer a range of services, including drug and alcohol treatment, confidence building, military-style discipline, and psychological counseling for a variety of addiction, behavioral, and emotional problems. Many of these programs are intended to provide a less-restrictive alternative to incarceration or hospitalization, or an intervention for a troubled young person. If you are a parent or guardian and think you have exhausted intervention alternatives for a troubled teen, you may be considering a private residential treatment program.

Our on-site Learning Center is an accredited year-round school that boys at Muir Wood attend Monday through Friday from am to noon. With individual family therapy, phone consultations with our therapists, and our Saturday Family Program, parents are involved in treatment 6—10 hours each week. Muir Wood is a world renowned northern California treatment center for teens struggling with mental health, behavioral, and substance abuse issues. We offer residential inpatient treatment for teen boys 12—17 in Sonoma County, and outpatient treatment for boys and girls 12—19 in Marin County.
